I enjoyed reading the long poem over the course of about a week, and now better understand the challenges of people who translate poetry into another language. For non-Germans it is interesting to hear how German actors recite the text, but anyone who tries to follow the recitation with the words must be agile in skipping dozens of lines at a time. Die Zeichnungen sind anders als sonst in dieser Kinderserie üblich wirklich abgrundtief hässlich. Meine Kinder mögen darin gar nicht blättern. Wenn Faust über die Schönheit Gretchens schwärmt und man dann das Bild dazu sieht,wird einem schon Angst. :0) Leider ist das Buch auch vom Text (dann aber ohne die Bilder!) eher etwas für kleine Kinder.Größere Kinder ab 10 vertragen schon mehr Originalzitate als in dem Buch angeführt werden.Der Osterspaziergang wird gar nicht versmäßig angerissen. Ich selbst habe eine antiquarische Vergleichsausgabe zwschen den drei Versionen Urfaust/Faust ein Fragment und Faust eins. Hat mir vor über 30 Jahren schon meine Deutschnote hochgepowert.
